Transition Program
Here at Goulburn High, we have a comprehensive transition program that includes school visits and taster days (focus days) as well as an orientation day in November.
The focus days are a great way for Year 6 students to familiarise themselves with the high school environment.
They are able to begin making connections with staff and students to help make the transition to high school as comfortable as possible.
Any questions about the transition program can be directed to Goulburn High School's Transition Coordinator, Mr Andrew Strode on 4821 4022.
We also offer a scholarship program, High Potential Class and a High Aspirations Program.
Goulburn High School offers ten scholarships each year, one for each of our six Enrichment Programs. The scholarships include payment of all Year 7 school fees, calculator and book pack, Year 7 excursion costs and uniform vouchers from our uniform shop.
The High Potential Class is a class designed for the Gifted and Talented Students, focused on Academic Excellence. In this class, teachers promote engagement and challenge every student across intellectual, creative, socio-emotional and physical domains of potential while explicitly identifying and addressing the learning needs of high potential and gifted students.
The High Aspirations Program is an elective program that provides students with the ability to further refine their skills in Agriculture, Dance, Drama, Music, Sport, Visual Arts and STEM.
All students enrolling in Year 7 at Goulburn High School may nominate an elective subject as part of our High Aspirations Program. The programs are practical, hands-on courses and cover a wide array of student interests.
