Technology Mandatory Year 7 & 8
The Technology Mandatory course gives students an appreciation of design processes and an understanding of how humankind uses technologies to develop creative and innovative solutions to real problems.
It is a compulsory course taught in Year 7&8 and requires students to study the three areas of Built Environments, Products and Information and Communications. Students study and learn about these three areas through ICT's, Food Technology, Metals Technology, Industrial Arts, Textiles and Agriculture.
Design projects involve the design, production and evaluation of quality solutions that are functional and meet identified needs or opportunities. A design folio documenting ongoing evidence of the application of the design process is required for each project.
