Special education

Special Education or Inclusive Education refers to the teaching practices that meet the individual needs of students with a disability. All students are entitled to participate in and progress through the NSW curriculum.

In order for educators to make adjustments for their students, it is vital that teachers understand that the individual comes first and the diagnosis second.

There are currently five support classes at Goulburn High School. The aim of the support unit at Goulburn High School is to assist these students to develop the necessary skills and abilities needed to successfully integrate into society.

At Goulburn High School we believe that “happy students are happy learners” and all members of staff will make the adjustments needed to ensure that each student is happy, safe and supported.
