Being an Asian language, Japanese is quite different to English, both in its structure and its writing systems. However, learning a second language enhances English literacy skills and broadens cultural understanding and tolerance.
Students taking this course will learn to speak conversational Japanese. Students will also learn to read and write in Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji.
Cultural activities will include origami, festivals and cooking.
