Students' progress through four lobes of general Metalwork and progressively develop skills in sheet metal work, fabrication, assembled components, forge work, lathe work and welding. Students will enjoy undertaking and completing many projects over duration of the course.
The final Year 10 work is a major project which demonstrates the development of knowledge and skills including design, planning, tools, materials, construction, lathe work, processes and finishing in a major construction project.
Ø Students must wear leather enclosed footwear at all times in this subject.
Fee: $40 in Year 9. Cost varies in Year 10 according to the individual project.
